IGGY NATOLI
I started my career playing showcase clubs in Toronto mainly the Queen Street West scene. Places like The Rivoli, Horseshoe Tavern, The Beverly and Larry’s Hideaway. I was with a young NEW WAVE BAND called MOVIE IDOL. I played the keyboards was the main vocalist. I did most of the writing, lyrics and music, for the band. We recorded original songs in some of the top studios in the Toronto area as well.
My roots and inspiration in music came from all sorts of Artists from the Beatles to The Gypsy Kings ( who are my favorite band). I studied piano and eventually Music Theory finishing my studies in Liverpool England under a private Tutor.
I was born in Sicily, immigrated to Canada when I was a little boy and my parents settled first in Kitimat B.C. Then for a brief stint in Montreal. We finally ended up in Oshawa Ontario where I grew up. I now live in Stouffville Ontario.
After taking a long hiatus from the music business I got back into it recently because I never stopped writing songs and now I work with my producer Konstantine Arnokouros and some really gifted singers and musicians. I write uplifting POP songs with Dance Beats that are current and sometimes I like to think a few are ahead of their time. My songs are a mixture of Love and Theme songs trying to instill positive messages while observing this world we live in.
